Dêra Kurdî is an exciting church plant largely comprised of Kurdish Syrians. With a strong focus on reaching Kurds in Lebanon and across the globe, the church has matured into a thriving ministry, effectively evangelizing and discipling others. Dêra Kurdî is also making a global impact through its popular Kurdish-language social media ministry, reaching hundreds of thousands worldwide,

In Lebanon, Dêra Kurdî is active both from its base in Beirut, and across the country:

  • In Lebanon, more than 200 families attend weekly services in Beirut.

  • Nine groups gather for regular weekly house meetings

  • The ministry team also conducts home groups and evangelistic house visits with families in various Lebanese regions, such as twice-weekly services in Tyre and

  • Each week in Zahlé, our team makes weekly visits to 19–20 families, primarily from Kurdish-Muslim backgrounds.

  • An annual discipleship conference, Meeting with Jesus, for new believers

  • Various classes on subjects like baptism, and spiritual warfare, to equip believers for their journey with Christ.

  • In South Lebanon, a successful church plant serves 45 families weekly, with follow-up visits to ensure that each receives consistent support and discipleship.

OUR MINISTRY CENTERS IN LEBANON

Horizons International operates four evangelism and discipleship centers throughout Lebanon. These ministry centers collaborate with over 130 local Lebanese churches to plant new believers into supportive congregations, and to mobilize and train the churches for effective ministry among Muslims.

Each ministry center maximizes its gospel impact by adapting to its local community, holistically addressing the spiritual and humanitarian needs of local residents.
