News Update

The conflict between Hezbollah and Israel has displaced hundreds of thousands from from South Lebanon—and this number is increasing daily. Right now, our ministry center is closed as our staff in the South have temporarily relocated to Beirut.

PLEASE PRAY

  • For an end to the war, so that people can return to their homes

  • For the protection of our facilities, and that we can return soon to ministry in the South

  • For the droves of people who’ve been displaced, and have nowhere to go.

History

TYRE CENTER, SOUTH LEBANON

In 2009, Horizons began supporting brother Mohammad Yamout to move to south Lebanon and plant a church in the biblical city of Tyre. He and his family developed a fruitful ministry over the years, which has become a strategic beachhead for the gospel in the region, and has seen hundreds of Muslims proclaim faith in Christ. Horizons has walked beside this family and their ministry over the years. After brother Mohammad suddenly passed away in Spring 2022, the Tyre ministry, led by his widow, Hanan, has merged fully with Horizons and is continuing to share the gospel and disciple believers in South Lebanon.

Projected Ministry Budget 2024: $154,119

OUR MINISTRY CENTERS IN LEBANON

Horizons International operates four evangelism and discipleship centers throughout Lebanon. These ministry centers collaborate with over 130 local Lebanese churches to plant new believers into supportive congregations, and to mobilize and train the churches for effective ministry among Muslims.

Each ministry center maximizes its gospel impact by adapting to its local community, holistically addressing the spiritual and humanitarian needs of local residents.
